Atletico Madrid have put Antoine Griezmann on the transfer list ahead of this season, as per Duncan Castles. The reports have suggested that Atleti who signed the Frenchman on a two-year loan deal are looking to offload the player to make room for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 31-year-old had hoped that a move back to Atletico would help him regain his supreme form and stature at the helm of world football. However, the Frenchman, just as it was at Barça, has been nothing but a shell of his successful past.
The reports have suggested the Madrid-based club is trying to move the Frenchman on as they try to make space for the enigmatic Ronaldo, who has been looking to exit Manchester United as he looks for a side that will play in the Champions League next season.
Griezmann was signed by the Blaugranas in the summer of 2019 from Atleti for a total of €120 million as they triggered his release clause. However, after having had a pretty mediocre stay with Barcelona, the Frenchman moved back to Atleti in 2021.
